A New Year’s Tree and a Computer Game

Image
The "mini-websites" project continues, with two new sites added to the collection: Wizardry – sorcery and my New Year’s tree site. The first is dedicated to the Wizardry computer RPG series, covering everything from the very beginning up to the eighth installment—sharing memories, impressions, and expectations. The second is a festive site designed to bring a daily dose of New Year’s cheer. It feels new every day when you have a small, glowing tree on display. The holiday is just around the corner! Everything is bright—like frost, like winter. A bright winter day. And a celebration—just like a bright day.

The Ranger in Green 3 – The Bright Star Elixir

Image
The ranger moves through the forest. Like the leaves. Like the rustle of leaves. Or a leaf falling to the ground. And then he stops. Amidst the dense greenery of the plants. Surrounded by foliage. The ranger in green stands there. He is poised like a cat, as if he has spotted or heard something. All around lies an ordinary forest—yet so green, so colorful, so magical.

An Autumn Getaway: Apples and Garden Chores

Image
I’m back at the countryside. It’s September now—a personal record for me; I’ve become a bit more adventurous. The weather was a real treat this time, too. It was actually a very warm day for late September—warm enough to run around in shorts, though I was wearing a sweater and sweatpants. Still, it gets cold faster these days; by six in the evening, it’s already dark and noticeably chilly.

Sha-Kobe – Miami 80s – Sunny Horizons

Image
Autumn arrives slowly, resembling those lazy summer days, yet it marks the start of a new season. Here, on the Retro Wave, the summer spirit lives on. The artist evokes the summer of 1980—a legendary era. It is a fantastic, uplifting track, brimming with joy and breezy vibes. Summer and serenity continue on the Retro Wave.

I’m a Little Star – look how great I am!

Image
I came up with the idea for this little program a long time ago. The name itself captures the whole concept and meaning: "I’m a Little Star." It’s a list where you record your positive achievements. "I played a game." "I’m cheerful." "I learned something new." "I beat a level in a game," "I watered the flowers." "Good job, me." It’s all about creating a sunny, magical mood.

The Ranger in Green 2 – Magic Stones

Image
The Ranger is a guardian of the forest. Clad entirely in green, his attire blends seamlessly with the surrounding foliage—an expertly tailored green outfit, complete with green boots, a green cloak, and a green tunic. He possesses the ability to merge with the forest greenery; he embodies the balance of nature and the harmony of the world. That is the nature of the forest ranger. He moves swiftly—like the wind, moving in unison with it. He travels while the wind blows, moving silently even as the breeze sways the trees and leaves. The Ranger makes his way through the forest.

Harvesting Mint and Tending Flowers

Image
Autumn days have arrived at the countryside. The days are cooler now; you can’t really wear shorts anymore, though it’s still quite warm during the day—warm enough for just a T-shirt. I spent these autumn days harvesting mint. It was a nice day—bright, with a sky that looked almost summery, even though the heat was gone. It gets dark quickly, too—so dark you can barely see a thing.

TV Players – Forgotten Summer - Is it autumn? Is it summer?

Image
Electronic music is a whole universe. Like summer. Something that beckons you to a land of sunny days. A synth rhythm rushes forward, and the melody captures a spirit of celebration and anticipation. We are rushing toward that very summer—one you might have already forgotten. Nostalgia riding retro waves. A tangible reality crafted from dreams, electronics, and synthesizer music. This is reality. A summer that should never be forgotten.

"Yellow Note" – just a few lines, a few words.

Image
This is another program in the "Small Software" series. It is a very simple program designed for jotting down a quick note. The concept is straightforward: a yellow background, a compact size, and space for just a couple of lines. You type something and keep it visible on your screen, or you can save it to a file—or open a text file containing a previously saved note.

The Ranger in Green

Image
The forest was green—a place of dense greenery and bright sunlight. Yet, the sun itself was not always directly visible, obscured by the towering trees cloaked in thick foliage. Large green leaves adorned the branches; water dripped from some of them, remnants of the morning rain—a common occurrence in these parts. The trees stretched high toward the sky, while the grass at their bases grew just as thick and tall.

Houseplants: Green Friends

Image
I didn't go to the country house this weekend; it was cold and raining heavily in the morning. I had doubts about what the conditions would be like there—whether it would be warm or freezing. My brother and I decided to skip the trip. Meanwhile, the weather in the city improved, and it turned warm by midday. I spent the time tending to the flowers on my shelving unit. I started on September 1st—a fresh beginning right after the last day of August.

Miami Nights 1984 – "Speed Test": Rhythm is everything—an orange sunset in the 1980s.

Image
Bright sun. Great cars. This track makes me daydream. A racing track—2 minutes and 8 seconds long. Such speed. I’m lost in thought again. An excellent, high-speed track. A musical piece. And this time, it’s daytime, not night, courtesy of Miami Nights 1984.

Psycho Durka – a project for tracking dark, distressing events.

Image
In September, I started working with Visual Basic and brought an old idea to life: a simple program for making entries—short notes—centered around a specific theme: the Psycho Durka. It’s designed for recording particularly heavy or traumatic episodes. It features a stylized black-and-red interface.

Music for September, I mean, how I'm learning!

Image
I'm continuing to study music. This time, in a new way. From a textbook, so to speak. Well, not exactly. From exercises. I have a whole bunch of instruments. Bass guitar, electric guitar, synthesizer, and voice. I'm mastering all of them. Progress is modest. And every now and then I need to write. And on Fridays, I spend time on what I call a song. This is preparation for a song.

August 30th is summer – summer is ending, a ton of things to do.

Image
The last weekend in August. Which means summer is ending too. Of course, it's already cooler. It's already August. But it was quite chilly in the morning. I was already wondering – will this day be like summer? But the answer is yes! The day was bright and summery. The clouds parted, and the day had a bright summer sky. It was warm.

Master System - Back Then – a start for a retro mood

Image
Retrowave takes us back to the magical 80s. The era of synthesizers, 8-bit computers, and game consoles already boasting decent graphics. There's plenty to listen to and play. And VHS movies are on TV. A magical time. Synthesizers play music. And you relax. Master System invites us to visit that time again. To go back there. To the 80s.

One-page websites – Britney Spears Second Era and 8-bit Highway Star

Image
One-page websites are developing. There are two websites, each one a single page. You can scroll through them, read, and look at pictures. This is Britney Spears Second Era, a website about the musician. And Highway Star, a website about an 8-bit Dendy cartridge, a racing game.

Terraria – Fabulous Pixels, Sand Houses

Image
I haven't played much computer games this year. But, as they say, I took part in the Steam sale. And I wanted to play computer games. On my computer. Atlas. And I got carried away one weekend. When I was at home and didn't have time to go to the countryside, I got lost in the game Terraria.
