"What the heck is Delphi?" Today, within this framework, there's the Lazarus programming environment. Lazarus. A modern environment for programming like Delphi.

  Somewhere since the second half of spring 2025. When the sun was already shining. And it was getting light. And at the same time, it was still cold and even frosty. BUT, closer to warmer days. Which are about to begin. I decided to learn computer technology. From scratch. Before that, there was a stage of holding my ground, temporarily learning something here and there. And then I took this step.

  With this year, I start more to learn. About question of programming. So, at last, with this year, I complete lesson series about Free Pascal and Lazarus. This is like Delphi. I want this for a long time, as I can say. So, this year, I start more to learn. So, this year, I, already, complete lesson series by Radovan86 about Turbo Pascal 7.0. So, with Free Pascal I repeat all of these. And, with School Freeware lesson series about Free Pascal with format of Lazarus programming. To series are there. This is console application. And Lazarus window application.

  GVim – it is very interesting program. Code editor, text. With interface of style – retro under windows 3.11. And, something like, a program for a cool programmers! For those one, who is ready to jump into a rabbit`s hole!

  So, year 2024 – for me, it is a year of Basic. I program only with it. And, mainly, I like a lot Basic. It is a positive. From the childhood days. In childhood, I see Kuvt 2 Msx 2 Basic. I see blue screen QBasic, or Quick Basic 4.5. As it is a childhood memories, so let it be this way. Microsoft Quick Basic 4.5, I am talking about. It was built in MS DOS. It was very comfortable and funny!

  And with the rights of retro programming. I want to tell in shorts about programming language Pascal. And about a certain version of realization Pascal – Pascal Abc.Net. As it was written at authors website - https://pascalabc.net/ , it is a system of programming. Simple and modern. For me it is retro theme, as I am a fan of old and cool Pascal. I am speaking about Turbo Pascal.

  I take to the country house with myself Windows Xp notebook. And I have something about programming. So, I successfully, installed Visual Studio 98, with components Visual Basic and Visual C++. And I was surprised, that component Visual C++ has no clean C way of writing. So, this means, it is already C++. And if you want only C, then you need something else.

  So, I am a fan of programming with Basic and Pascal. And it was a times, when I saw and a little try to program in MSX KUVT2, QBasic, Turbo Pascal, Visual Basic 6, Delphi 7. But in those days, mainly, I can write several commands. And a rather simple programs to write. Not more. And I have a very positive memories with this soft.
