Kind Animals version 0.4 – Landscape Generator – Who lives here?
Who lives here? Look, a river. Look, a meadow. Such green grass grows here. But for now, only one chick lives here. He runs along the virtual grass. Among the flowers. The chick lives in the meadow. But there's no one in the river yet. This is the first version of the Landscape Generator program.
This is the
first version of the program. The Kind Animals project includes cards. In
addition to the cards, there are also some additional programs. For example,
this one. There's a 10 by 10 grid. 50 by 50 pixel squares. These are pictures.
And there's a button to create a landscape. And it randomly generates a
landscape. There are four pictures of a meadow. And two of a river. And in some
of the pictures of the meadow, there's a chick.
There's a
text field on the right. It says: A description for this cell on the grid.
What's the name? For example, this is a meadow. This is a river. And who lives
there? So far, only one chick. And what's the name of the image file? This is a
program for fun. I planned it a long time ago, and now it's the first
implementation.
It doesn't
interact with the cards in any way right now. This is just a demonstration of
the idea itself. Landscape generation. And it's created. You can click the
"Create Landscape" button. And a new landscape will appear. And this
happens every time. Right now, that's the main thing here. Plus, the familiar
interface from the Good Animals programs. These are the settings. Two
languages: Russian and English. Colors. Background color and text color. You
can specify a new option—the path to the cards. But in this program, this
doesn't affect anything.
In the
future, in my dreams, the program could generate a landscape based on the
specified cards. A duckling card is a meadow. A fish card is a river. And in
one of the cards, such an animal seems to live. All this isn't implemented yet.
Only landscape generation is there. The first version. A trial version.
Good
Animals cards – here, cards are mainly the main theme. And third-party
software. Lists and icons with cards for easy launch. And the third
integration. This is landscape generation. These cards could somehow be
involved in landscape generation. And some description in the text field.
Such-and-such
an animal lives here. This is a meadow. The program expands on the theme of the
Good Animals cards. It turns out that, at the concept level, the landscape will
depend on the cards. This kind of integration. Along the line of cards,
landscape, and software. This hasn't been done yet. Only one button. Create
landscape. And a simple landscape is simply randomly generated. 6 is a type of
territory. 4 is a meadow. And 2 is a river.

there is here. The project is ongoing. New software is coming. Landscape
Generator. This is even a small gameplay element. A landscape for animals. And
you can search for who lives where. Such a cheerful pixel background. Pixel
pictures. Everything is kind and cheerful. Everything is so summery. And the
animals. They're hiding somewhere here. In a field, a meadow. In a river. Find
someone.
Yes, it's a
fun activity for yourself. Like a board game, I guess. But still. It's an
interesting development of ideas with cards. You never know, maybe something
interesting will happen! So far, there's only a chick! He lives in a meadow.
And he's having fun running among the flowers there. Everything is so
low-pixelated. And summery. It's great for the mood.
