Creative Connections and Heroes 4 – 80s Music and Fantasy with Unicorns
Summer gave me a chance to re-energize my web development. I was just learning web technologies. I even made some simple websites. I used HTML, CSS, and even PHP. I'm amazed at myself now! I need to get back into shape. And in the meantime, after a long winter hiatus, I'm publishing everything I have. In batches. I'm finishing it up to a minimal version and releasing it.
This time,
two more websites. One about music and one about a game. Music is Creative
Connections about Lian Ross, a singer from the 80s. And about the game – Heroes
4 – about a fantasy strategy with role-playing elements – Heroes of Might and
Magic 4. Two important topics for me: music and games. A fan site on the topic.
Let's go
from there. First, it all started with Creative Connections. It's a fan site
about the musical project of singer Lian Ross. Back in the '80s, all this was
being released. A couple of great songs as singles. Here's about the singer,
and a list of the singles that were released. On different music labels. The
songs are great, really, really '80s, which I love so much. So I decided to
make one. And not much. Perfect for a small fan site.
And the
second is Heroes 4. I still haven't come up with a name for the site. I kind of
wanted to highlight the word "Heroes." It's about Heroes of Might and
Magic 4. I really like the fourth part. For its visual appearance. And its
interesting solutions. I can still see the yellow menu. Like old paper with
spells. And the solar disks in the shape of the sun. Red, yellow, green. I
really like how everything is done and looks here! I made a website about this
part. I wrote about why I like it. I hope to write more.
Both
websites are currently being released in minimal form. Just to have it all.
After winter. It's basically a six-month break. Now it's summer, and I'm ready
to return to these projects. But little by little. These are the same versions
as before. But they've been supplemented with two translations: English and
Russian. And published. If we drag out the development process any longer, we
might never return to these projects. So, first, we need to mark these versions
as a new start.
All of this
is part of a plan called "reviving the sites." Initially, there was a
plan: sites—as many as possible. Those were my first sites. After I learned
how. In simple HTML, CSS, PHP. And then winter came. And now, the revival of
the sites. These are these two sites.
Of course,
some things still need to be finished. But I also need to remember the web.
Especially CSS. And especially PHP. I'm surprised at myself how I did it now.
So, first, I'll publish it as is. And I'm continuing with the web direction.
Creative
Connections is from the 80s. And the style is like a notebook page. Like a fan
writing the names of his favorite bands in a notebook. I did that. There are
great pop songs there. Lian Ross is a really cool singer. Heroes of Might and
Magic 4 is my sunny hero, a game of sword and magic. I spent a lot of time
playing that game. I played it online with my brother, and just played it.
Everything is so beautiful. It's a new fantasy world for you. It's not like the
third game. Everything is completely different – it's incredibly interesting.
Lian Ross
makes great music, I'm so glad I found her project online. There are such cool
songs there. "Scratch my Name," for example. I started listening
right away. And then she also included these songs in her personal music
career.
Heroes of
Might and Magic 4 is my sunshine. My world. With sword and magic. A fantasy
world. With rangers, street urchins, unicorns, necromancers, skeletons,
flycatchers, elementals. And dancing elves in the field, and lots of vibrant
fantasy. To gallop across this grass again. To see the sand again and sail
across the ocean.
Two little
websites. Revitalizing the web theme. After the good little animals, another
step forward.
