Alice in the Park – Crows Flying Together

Alice walked along this boring autumn path. Now she's absolutely sure it's autumn. Now it's autumn here. And back then – it was summer after all. Or maybe it was still warm. Yes, the weather here is very interesting. For Alice – definitely interesting. And she must keep walking along the path. And she'll end up somewhere. She even knows where now. Thanks to her friend. It's a mushroom. The one who told her. There's a fork in the road further on. The ant village or the mushroom valley.

And for now, Alice walks. Walks leisurely. And looks at the sky in the distance. It's a dark sky. With dark blue clouds. Sometimes there are gaps. Sometimes the clouds are white. Such a strange sky. This autumn sky. Even the sun's rays are breaking through somewhere. And they create a golden and white color for the clouds. But it's so dark here. Although it's still light.

There's a breeze blowing. This has all happened before. Alice remembers it well. Such a breeze. Sometimes it's soft. Sometimes it's quite cool. Oh, this breeze. If only it blew a little softer. Still. The clouds are drifting somewhere. But slowly. Alice walks. Also slowly.

Then she heard a sound from behind. This time from behind, not in front. Someone started talking. Something incomprehensible. It sounded like birds. Crows. Alice turned around. And yes, there was a bunch of birds flying behind her. Those black birds. That's what they look like from afar. Crows. Or similar birds. A small group of birds.

They were catching up with Alice. And they were flying quite fast. They were already getting closer. Alice couldn't outrun them. And it was a very long walk. Alice didn't want to outrun them at all. They were just flying faster than she could walk.

The crows had already caught up with Alice. And they began to fly more slowly. “Hello! We're flying across a field! Just like you!” said the black bird.

“Hello! Birdies!” Alice replied amiably.

“We've been flying for a long time! We've flown over several similar fields. And even larger ones. And we've seen forests. And rivers. And lakes. There's lots of things here. And further on – our houses!” said the crow.

“I see!” Alice replied cheerfully.

“We're flying!” said another crow.

“We're flying!” said another crow.

“We're flying!” said another crow.

“It looks like autumn here! It's cool!” said the crow.

“Yes, there's a colder wind here!” agreed Alice.

“Yes, it is autumn here!” said one of the crows.

“It's autumn!” said the next crow. "It'll be warmer further on! That's where the ants live. In their village. And further on. There's a valley of mushrooms. Remember that. About where you're going. The road is long. For the birds. And for you. Probably too, so there'll be a fork in the road for you!" said the crow.

"Thank you! I've kept that in mind. There's nothing else to see here. It's a nice place, of course. But everything is so similar. I remember!" replied Alice.

"Time to turn!" said the crow.

"Goodbye! Goodbye to those who go!" the crows began to say. And they turned aside – across the field. And they began to fly faster.
