this and modernized the game. Smoothness. The idea behind this modification.
The game
itself is about a spider. About a little spider. A little spider running along
a web and collecting fruit. Like in classic 80s arcades. The dynamics here
aren't exactly what they used to be. Everything is so slow. And sometimes the
enemy is a larger circle. You have three lives. Just collect all the small
circles. 10 levels. Arrow keys left, right, up, and down. Collect the circles
and that's it. Avoid the big circles. A kind game about a spider.
I've just
returned to this game. Let me remind you about it. As a modification. There are
now two game modes. This is an increasing progression. And a maximum of
20. Progression means that the number of game objects on the screen increases
with the level. From a few.
When there are few. To many. Including the maximum number – 20. The maximum 20
mode means there will always be 20 objects on each level.
A kind and
good spider collects fruit. And crawls everywhere here on his web. Several more
types of webs have been added. In addition to the standard one. Several more
types. This is a purely visual effect. A web based on a circle. Which is new
here. These circles go. And several lines. To form a web pattern. Now it's a
game with real screen real estate. 60 frames per second. Smooth gameplay. That
was the basis of this modification.
Otherwise,
it's still the same game about a spider. It's crawling along its web. The
spider is crawling. Everything is so meditative. You collect circles. Fruit.
And that's it. Sometimes there are enemies. They're larger circles. They can
move. You just have to avoid them. IT isn't at all complicated here.
And this modification brings us back to this game. It's the BASIC programming language. The KB 64 dialect. And we had to pretty much rewrite the game from turn-based to real-time. Although visually it may not be so noticeable, it's a good foundation for future developments. Real-time is already in place, 60 frames per second.
Modifications are ongoing. For now, this is a new direction. Modifications are in the mod folder. And the main games are in the games folder. This game has smoothness, webs, and a maximum of 20 balls.
