Ghost – It's a Sin – putting together a video on Windows 95, that's something new!

What do we know about ghosts? That they sing! This time it's a retro clip. In the Windows 95 style. And that really caught my attention. With the song "It's a Sin" by the synthpop band Pet Shop Boys. I really like these kinds of ghosts. The clip is truly retro. Windows 95. The program starts. The desktop. With folders dedicated to the band. And a video editor. And we sort of apply effects and edit the video. This is what a lyrical video looks like.

The song itself is rock-style. But not too heavy. And the rhythm is good. The guitar rhythm comes in cyclically. The guitar comes in so well. And the rock note lasts a long time. And then comes the synthesizer. Like an organ. And a chorus of echoes. Also a synthesizer. Then a lull. And the melody, right according to the song, is played only on the electric guitar. With crisp drums. The singer's voice is soft. And melodious. The notes stretch.

He sings well. I've never heard such a style of singing. Live and listen to music, as they say. You'll still be surprised. This is Sin. Familiar melodies. Everything I've done. Everywhere I've been. Everything I've been through. This is Sin. They taught me this in school. Touching lines. They didn't do too well. What lyrics. The lyrics are actually very good. For pop music, they're actually very good. Smart and not too difficult to understand.

All I do is listen to music. Forgive me, Father. Everything I was taught. Everything you taught me, Father. I don't understand. I still don't understand. Very smart lyrics. And most importantly, not that complicated. I'm the only one to blame for this. Day after day.

A very good rock rhythm. Not varied. But precisely, like rock, a kind of noise. In some parts, the music gets louder. More percussive moments. In some places, the rhythm just flows. It sounds good. The singer sings beautifully. He has his own unique style. The band Ghost is something new to me. I've never seen anything like it.

There's a moment in the music where the guitar melody just flows throughout the song. So it's easily recognizable. Towards the end. And at the beginning, there's some organ playing on a synthesizer. Beautiful. Beautiful, to say the least. A great pop song. Or rather, a rock song. Just not too heavy. But with electric guitars and a rhythm like rock music.

In the video, we see how a video is made in an old video editor. It's from the Windows 95 era. Or at most, Windows 98. That distinctive green desktop background. And all sorts of folders scattered around. Cool. It looks like a collection of different clips, each with their own video segments. And effects are superimposed on them. It looks really cool.

And the video itself is called "official audio." It's not even a lyric video. And not a video clip according to their version. It's just audio. With a video like that. A music video, essentially. Why not? Especially in the internet age. Why downplay your talents like that, so to speak?

I think Ghost are musicians and actors. They clearly put a lot of emphasis on their videos. There are even some horror movie references in the songs. Like Hammer horror films. They probably have something else like that, too.

I'm still listening to this song. I really liked their performance. At the end, we see the progress bar approach 100 percent. And the video seems to be coming together. From pieces into one video. I've never even seen such editors. Never had the chance to use them. It would be interesting to try it on my retro computer.

The song is very light in its delivery. The singer's singing is so effortless. There's maybe a slight hoarseness to it. Just a little. I've never heard vocals like that anywhere else. Something very new for me personally. Just like the band Ghost itself.

Music listener. From time to time i like to listen to the music. And write about it.

Dima Link is making retro videogames, apps, a little of music, write stories, and some retro more.
