Modern system, gaming year - Serious Sam makes two

I haven't played as much this year. I've been studying more. But I still played. I played Steam and GoG on a modern Atlus H376 computer. I mostly played on weekends. And it was also summer. I came home from the dacha on Sunday and started playing games. For example, Serious Sam: The First and Second Encouters. I even finished them. They're so summery.

It just so happened that the Steam games of the year are Serious Sam: The First Encouter and Serious Sam: The Second Encouter. And the rally racer WRC6. In the middle, as they say, between summer shooters. Then there's the racing game Rush Rally 3. I also played Left 4 Dead and Counter-Strike Source intermittently. I tried a variety of games. Everything was essentially new to me. I played Ragnarok Online this summer. I still have that game. And it's still going strong! I've tried inexpensive trash games, and a wide variety of genres. Quests, roguelikes, shooters, racing games, arcade games.

In GoG, I'd highlight Sacred Gold. It's a wonderful fantasy game. We run across plains like Diablo 2 and there are tons of monsters. It's just what I love, just like in some ad. Overall, I didn't play much because I was studying. But if you do everything right and study well, then you can relax well too. And play something in the evening. Maybe I'll even get around to that someday.

Hit of the season. Summer season. This is Serious Sam: The First Encouter and The Second Encouter. These are my summer hits. Killer, hot action. Everything is fun there. Summer weather. Egypt. Desert. Forest, grass. Field. Almost like at the dacha. That's why I played these games in the summer.

In this game, we'll go on a journey through the ancient world. We'll visit Ancient Egypt as a tourist, for example. We'll see the pyramids. By the way, I played on Tourist difficulty. It's essentially the easiest game mode. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

What's interesting is that besides the pyramids, there's time travel. And reptilians. My thing. I really like them. As they say. And then there are other ancient worlds. Egypt—that's the ethos of its own style. Other similar ancient countries. The Sumerians, with their own style. Ancient Babylon. It's all very engaging, too. The game plays smoothly and well.

Some might say that The Second Encouter is like an add-on, like just levels. But I thought so too until I played it. This is the first time I've played these games fully. And I was so captivated that I even beat them. The Second Encouter is actually somewhat similar to The First Encouter. Yes, there is that. But it's also a different time, and it plays differently. There, it starts in the fields. In the forests. The Mayans. An ancient civilization. They had pyramids too. The gameplay feels a little different. It's a new gaming experience.

So if you played the first encouter, you'll like the second encouter. But the second encouter isn't just a collection of levels. It's essentially a sequel. A sequel like a full-fledged game. That is, it has its own gameplay features. And it's significantly different. Both games are slightly different. And they're excellent shooters. Both are recommended for fans of shooter games.

It's interesting how the second encouter is made. There's the second half of the game. There's a lot of new stuff. The first half is a vibrant summer. And then it gets all sorts of different. Gothic, like the first Quake. With humor. Like a Halloween party. There will be a castle. There will be a dungeons-and-dragons role-playing theme. A cave. Ifrits, demons made of fire and stone. There will also be a winter theme. I think there was a snowman somewhere. A game with humor.

Moreover, the first encouter is completely in the traditions of the ancient world and action cinema. And the Second Encouter is like a cool blockbuster sequel. It continues the theme. And changes things up a bit. And then adds a lot of new stuff. Against the backdrop of such masterpieces, I don't even understand why there isn't a sequel.

A third encouter, a fourth encouter, and so on. The theme is there. And two formats, actually. As the first encouter and as the second encouter. We have two such formats! This summer, I was impressed by Serious Sam.
