Electric Guitar – Saturday Music
I'm making music – just think about it! I've dreamed about it for so long. Probably since my adult life. I dreamed and dreamed. That I, too, would have some kind of musical process. And I'm at that moment now. I'm happy about it! I'm making music. As best I can. Within the limits of my strength and abilities. So there's no need to wait long. As they say.
This time I
want to say that I have something new to say about music. I'm practicing
guitar. Electric guitar. Yellow and sunny guitar. On Saturdays, I started
playing 20 minutes! 20 minutes on Saturdays. Damn, I started doing that! Yes!
This is
positive. I pick up the guitar. It's become a regular occurrence. This isn't
the first time I've had a day off like this. And it's a regular occurrence.
Every Saturday, too, I pick up the instrument now. And then the whole day is
free! As my mother used to say when I was a child. Free – like a moth in
flight. I've always liked that phrase. I'm like a moth! In flight! Wow! A kind
mother. That's what she used to say.
And about
Saturday lessons. I have a whole idea. I call it synchronization. Electric
synchronization. And bass synchronization. I've only just started synchronizing
electric guitar. The idea is to keep everything even. And there should be parts
for both electric and bass guitars for the songs. So, for electric guitar, I'm
learning gothic rock for 20 minutes. So that there should be an electric guitar
part for the rhythm along with the bass guitar.
Those are two songs. That's where I started learning bass. Sisters of Mercy. A musical group. And the songs Alice and Driven Like Snow. Alice. Driven Like Snow. I'm learning the very first bars from there. 10 minutes per song. It's a good start for me. According to my abilities. Everything is fine. On a weekend. Sunny and fun. The main thing is not to overload.
By my
standards. I'm moving forward! And who knows. Maybe the next step is to add
music to Sunday. Just a little. So I don't burn out. That's the main thing.
Bass and synthesizer. And I also need to learn how to connect musical
instruments to an external sound card. Then to a computer. Then I need to
master music programs at a minimum. And my very first recording probably won't
be the best! That's the path I've envisioned in my head!
A sunny and
joyful moment. I'm finally building a musical process for myself. Again,
according to my abilities. This is joyful! It's already deep autumn outside.
It's almost freezing winter. But it's sunny inside! In my room! At least. And
when I go outside, it's autumn and almost winter.
20 minutes is two times 10 minutes. Two songs. The first bars. The melody itself. I've never played a melody before. And the strumming. Two new musical techniques. I understand it's in the song "Alice." And there's a typical gothic melody here. On the guitar. This is certainly worth mastering so you can write your own melodies. And the strumming is a typical technique for all genres.
That's also
important. A silvery sound, so to speak. It would work well for an acoustic
theme, a ballad. Or an intro. Or variety. And maybe it would also sound great with a loud
sound, like noise. I don't understand anything about distortion and overdrive
from a musical standpoint. I haven't tried it yet. But I'll think about it,
there's a noise rock theme. The Jesus and Mary Chain. Maybe it could be done
that way. You can create different sounds, the main thing is to know how!
