Countryside – planting again
Another day off. That means I'm taking the train to the countryside. A two-hour drive. Grass and greenery outside the window. Beautiful summer. The greenest summer ever. My last week of June at the countryside. I arrived at the countryside. Quickly ate some canned chicken soup. And then went planting. Planting flowers. Turns out there were still plenty of them.
I quickly
started planting. There were so many plants. I mixed them all up. So I can't
remember what everyone's called. There were a lot of daisies. I've already
memorized them. Lavender has also grown there. It smells good. And it's
supposed to repel ticks. So I have two types of lavender: blue-eyed and
something else. I've planted lavender in different parts of my garden. I'll see
if it helps. They also say garlic repels vampires. I haven't tried that. I'll
test it out with lavender to see if it repels ticks.
The space
in my allotted garden is slowly running out. And now I'm filling in the gaps.
There are spots where nothing has grown or where I haven't planted anything.
I'm planting as best I can, working on the last remaining bit. The daisies have
their own spot – to the side. There are lots of them. I've been busy planting.
I've gotten the hang of it. I'm planting one plant after another. As quickly as
I can, but without overexerting myself. Sometimes I have to walk around the
garden to find a free spot. Or catch my breath, too. Otherwise, I've been
planting for hours. Excellent work therapy. Even beneficial.
So, I
didn't really notice other things. I've gotten the impression that this kind of
work therapy is actually beneficial after the winter blues. It's beneficial to
feel tired. It's not mental pain, but fatigue. A shift in consciousness. To
just fatigue. At first, it's intense. But then you get used to it and just get
tired. And you realize – now you can rest. So, this is also a flow of emotions.
During the break, I ate some tomato soup. Also delicious. Fried potatoes and oatmeal for dinner. Tea. Everything's pretty good. Mexican chicken. Chicken with rice. Everything's good. Even when it's hell. I already remembered mosquitoes flying around during the day. They bite. But I even like that. Or big flies - horseflies. That's how flies are. They fly around during the day. Huge ones. They bite. They circle around. I even like that. Everything is nice under the hot sun. After winter.
It's even great how they bite. Even that's great.
Although there are a lot of these flies around you - they create a feeling of
discomfort. And even a little fear. They are big, there are a lot of them. They
circle. They actively land on you. Arms, legs. Everywhere. They try to bite.
It's hot. And you walk around with water. A watering can of water. You water
the soil, dig. Everything is in water. They fly in. That's the impression.
Then a new
place. Carrots. I didn't replant them. It's difficult. And I just continued
planting lettuce leaves, radishes, dill, and something similar. First, I dug up
some soil. Then I scattered the seeds. First, in lines. That's good. But it
takes a long time. And then I dug up squares and scattered the seeds, and then
sprinkled them with soil. I distributed the seeds across the square and covered
them with a layer of soil. I don't know whether they'll grow or not. The soil
is somehow new. Dark and not black. Not clay. But it's not exactly ideal soil
for plants either. We'll see.
I was also
feeling the same emotion. It was drizzling. I walked around with a shovel,
dredging. I ran to get a pack of seeds. Then I went back and planted. Right in
the drizzle. I remember that. I distributed the soil with my hands. After the
shovel. Then the rain stopped. And I realized I was tired. And it was time to
rest. After that, I don't remember. I fell asleep.
In the
morning, I took pictures of the sunny part. And the flowers. And then I took
the train home. I rode. Everything was just as green and cheerful. The window
was clear of water. And everything was clearly visible. Sometimes I passed by a
river. Beautiful. The blue expanse of water.
