Heroes III VCMI – New Year's Magical Heroes

Pre-New Year's spirit. Holidays. And then my brother suggests playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3. The version with the VCMI engine. A greatly improved version. It has screen scaling using the middle mouse wheel. And a modern resolution. And much more. Now the game looks modern. And it's very interesting to examine the game map.

And most importantly, there are new, fully functional cities. Lots of them. With new heroes and full animation to boot. And there's also auto-battle. So, you don't have to play manually. Just if you don't like the result, fight yourself. The game has become more fun.

So, my brother and I played for two days. Before New Year's. The 30th and 31st. A hero's reunion, so to speak. Two brothers. And it's fun and very New Year's. We played on two maps. I chose the first map. It was very simple in size. And I quickly lost there. I was playing on a castle with fish. Everything there was so underwater and bizarre.

And my brother had already chosen the second map. And we've been playing there for quite a while now. A decent map. Two worlds. Lots of castles. Two computers. And two players. I chose another new castle. About a desert. Reminds me of the Stargate style.

We're developing cities. Collecting resources on the map. I already have a lot of heroes running around the map. Two main, highly-powered ones. And two to help. Collect all sorts of creatures. There are houses with creatures here that you can also recruit. I've established the economy. And now I'm building cities.

The map is quite large. Yes, and there are two worlds. Here I am exploring the exit from the dungeon. It so happened that I started playing in the underworld. And my brother is on the surface. And now I've emerged from the second world. To the surface. There's an ice castle there. And I collect its resources whenever I can.

My brother is smart. And smarter than me. And I've already defeated the ice player. I couldn't have done it. And now I can walk more peacefully on the surface. That's how we play. My brother took the castles for himself. The ice player had at least two castles.

It's interesting to play, practically writing the annals of time. Perfect for a fantasy story. A collection of impressions. If I write my own fantasy, I'll add my brother as an author and mark this computer game.

I've also already taken a second castle for myself. But in the underworld. It was untouched. And I've been building up my strength. And I managed to take such a castle for myself. It's a dungeon. And I'm building it. I've taken a hero for myself. To be with this castle. And I'm leveling up the heroes. They run around the underworld map and level up. They have plenty of units. So they just collect everything useful that's lying around.

Items, amulets, artifacts. And I'm leveling up the characters themselves. Some are level 10. Some are lower. Some have more. On average, around level 10. Logistics is an interesting skill. It allows you to travel far, practically dash across the map. Characters in the desert have this skill. But my brother complains that his heroes never get this skill. Although my brother knows he needs this skill.

My brother plays some new castle. From this VCMI. Like a dungeon. Something similar. That's how we play. My brother is on the surface. And I'm in the underworld. There's sand. And it's exactly the castle I play. A desert like Egypt. Or Stargate. It fits in very well.

It's really great that Heroes of Might and Magic has fans who know how to program. That's what they did there. They've essentially perfectly refined the project to its current state. And my brother and I just played this game on New Year's Eve. I walked around the room. We took turns making moves. And I waited for my brother to make his move. Then I made my move. That's how we played. Sometimes the moves were quick, sometimes slow.

But from that point on, it was game time. I started to relax! The year was ending. And we played Heroes of Might and Magic. My brother and I were heroes of might and magic too! Fan programmers (I almost wrote fanatics) breathed life into this game with magical programming codes. And made it modern. Back in the world of magic! I'm a huge fan of magic!

Playing little games. From time to time i like to play videogames. And write about it.
