Heroes 4 website – a solar disk and magic

I'm continuing to practice hypertext markup language. That is, HTML. Simple HTML. And literally a pinch of salt from CSS and PHP. I've even developed a template of sorts. The site header. The end of the site. The menu on the left. And each site differs from the next – in content and style.

There's room for creativity and technique. Once I've figured out the technique, the creativity begins. This website. This. Another one. And off we go. This is a fan site about the video game Heroes of Might and Magic 4. How I remember that game. And how I perceive it.

I see the site as golden. Like sunlight. And like a sheet of paper. I took something from the cover art for the background. Part of the texture. Here on the site there are several menu elements. And everything is already similar. In theory. But it looks different. I'm practicing. I'm writing HTML code by hand.

This is version 0.1 of the website. It's a launch version. It shows the general idea. But I won't be publishing it yet. The starting version is in Russian. And starting with version 0.2, an English version will appear, and I'll start publishing the website itself online.

Since I've already come up with an idea, I'll tell you about it. I really love Heroes of Might and Magic 4. It has such a sunny style. I like the way the game looks. And everything new there is. The cities. The choice of creatures. My brother and I played a lot. We took turns making moves. For this new take on the fantasy world, I like it even more than Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

The website has several entries. This is the introduction. It's like a fantasy book in front of you. A work of fiction. A fan site. I learned how to do something technically and am making it. The introduction describes the mood of the site. It's like a work of fiction.

It describes how Heroes of Might and Magic 4 is like a fantasy book. And a bright sunny day in style. How I loved playing with my brother. My impressions. And my memories of this game. I played it on my second Pentium a long time ago. And I still remember it with joy.

Highlights. This is the longest part. Here I spend a long time describing my personal vision of this part of the game, as I see it. I recall the other parts. The first four parts are here. Of course, more about part 4.

I remember the first part of the game. How beautiful and magical everything was! There was no other game like it! Elves, knights, magic, and sword. I didn't even know about the Sword and Magic series of role-playing games back then. Everything was beautiful and captivating there.

The second part. I really love the autumn forest there. The second part is similar to the first, but still different. New characters. Sword and magic again. Then the third part. The most epic. It eclipsed all other similar games in popularity. There's white snow. A wintery castle tower.

A castle about a native swamp with lizards. A castle dungeon with boars or bulls with horns, and how the people there are such heroes. My brother and I used to chase each other all over the map in a multiplayer game. Right there on the same computer.

Then time passed. I forgot about Heroes of Might and Magic. Then I saw it on the store shelf. A disc. Heroes of Might and Magic 4. I grabbed it right away. I only confirmed it was version 1.0. And I ran off to play, absolutely thrilled. This part really captivated me and my brother. We played together, too. And I played on my own, too.

The castles are very diverse. And there's so much that's new. A completely different magical and isometric world. Everything is new. The graphic style is completely different. The developers weren't afraid to repeat the third game. They came up with a completely new visual style. Everything is so bright. Sunny. It became very interesting to explore the world. To run around as a druid on a zebra. Choosing vampires as if they were movie actors. Visiting a clearing with dancing men for good luck. Those green ones. Unicorns, cyclops. Some kind of completely new fantasy.

I'm describing it all in highlights. For me, it was like a sunny spring day. Bright and nice.

Two more quick points. Discs. Just pictures of the boxes themselves, and the disc is there. Nothing special, just a standard look. But again, women. Beautiful boxes. Beautiful pictures. Interesting design. I really like those circles too. A circle of the sun, I think. Slavic fantasy. There's also a circle when you choose a hero in the tavern. An interesting new visual design.

And the modifications section. It's just a picture. And what modifications are there? It's high resolution. I don't know about modifications yet. I just wanted to think of a menu item like that.

I thought for a long time about what to call the site. Equinox. Sort of like fantasy, to emphasize it. But I just left it as a placeholder name. Heroes 4 website. These heroes are like a solar disk and magic to me. That's what I wanted to capture here. On this small website. Equinox is something fantastic and cool yet to come.
