YS Origins – vibrant Animashki funny cute in 3D scenes!
I've been wanting to get my hands on this game for a long time. I have several versions of it on Steam. There's YS I & II, where everything is pixelated. And this version of YS Origins is all 3D. It's a legacy of Japanese RPGs, anime style. From consoles. It's like a second PlayStation. I just have fond memories of that system. There were so many similar things there.
And of course, there's plenty of that on Steam PC too. I started with this game. As soon as I launched it, I was immediately amazed. Damn, there's an easy mode. It suits me just fine. I don't play that much. I play on weekends. I just play to relax. In my free time, when all my work is done. Like a good boy.
And then
there's this long intro cutscene. Yes, not just one, but two. Made in different
styles. And the second one even has atmospheric, fantasy-themed 3D graphics.
I've skipped the plot so far. My brain couldn't process it by the evening. It's
the complexity of anime. The demons did something. They attacked the city.
Everything is more complicated there, plot-wise.
And there's
this tower. The Demon Spire. And so we go there. There are also cutscenes in
the intro. Conversations with friends. And the main part of the game is an
action RPG. A game of action. We jump, kill monsters. There are items, abilities.
We'll be in
a labyrinth. It's based on the game scenes. Monsters are everywhere. We run
back and forth. So energetic and fun. Anime. Animashki. Cutie funny anime
something. I remember my dad saying that. It immediately reminded me of my
younger years. I loved those kinds of games. Then I completely lost it, as they
say. I completely stopped playing such games.
You have to
jump here! And use abilities. In battles with monsters. And solve puzzles.
Press the button. Jump. Use the ability. Move on. Although I didn't delve into
the plot. But it's here. And you can even feel some kind of magic in the game.
Anime magic. And fantasy. We're in the tower. And so, I went a little further.
And I fell into a trap. But that's according to the plot! Everything is fine!
That's the plot twist.
And I found
myself in a new place in the tower. I was magically transported somewhere.
Everything is mysterious here! You can save. And teleport back to the base,
sort of. Your friends are right at the entrance to the tower. Convenient! And
we're doing progress through this tower.
The
graphics are really cool. Again, it reminds me of the second PlayStation. For
me, that was the great point of style. And graphics. The processor or the
graphics engine. The graphics are beautiful. And interesting. Although they may
not be as super detailed. But the style easily makes up for it! The image is
memorable!
I really liked the graphics. It looks great! Beautiful hand-drawn graphics for the characters themselves. In these moderately polygonal arenas. The labyrinth consists of locations. We have a couple of abilities. And this attack—like a bunch of bullets flying. A real hurricane.
So it all looks beautiful and plays
dynamically. A good arcade theme. There's plenty of action. It's a labyrinth.
You go back and forth. And when you come back, the key things remain the same.
A chest, for example, is open. Or part of a riddle. You've already solved it.
All of that remains. But the monsters—you have to start over. They even drop
these crystals. It looks and plays brilliantly!
Bright animashki
(funny anime style) in 3D scenes! In short, I remembered it and didn't regret
it! I think there's also a second Grandia. And there's a ton of other stuff to
play! I used to enjoy games like this!
Playing little games. From time to time i like to play videogames. And write about it.
Dima Link is making retro videogames, apps, a little of music, write stories, and some retro more.
