Frog – jump on the water lily! The little frog is calling you for a swim!
The frog is green and cheerful. A big fan of swimming. He can swim anywhere. In a river, in a lake. Anywhere with a lot of water. The frog is green. With big feet. Eyes on top. It's comfortable to swim. I want to swim. Says the frog. Everyone, let's swim!
An arcade-style game. Vertical format. 9 levels. 3 positions on the screen. Left, middle, and right. And the tongue. A big orange tongue. The space bar is the tongue. Use your tongue to ward off flies and mosquitoes. And avoid hitting the rocks on the screen. You have, as usual, 3 lives. Below is the entire game interface. A frog, a face. Three of those green, cheerful faces. In the style of a simplified 8-bit NES, Atari 2600.
Then there's grass – that's the number of the swamp you're in. Or rather, a joke, not a swamp. It's a river, a stream, a small stream, a pond, a reservoir, a canal. Where you swim. 9 levels. The level number. And lastly, there are frog legs. Frogs have good legs. Legs just right for swimming. This is the symbol for displaying your score. How many flies and mosquitoes you swatted away. Don't forget, your little frog friend reminds you, that's the space bar.
Kind and funny. A cheerful little game about a little frog. Or a frog. The levels vary in appearance. But they all share the same idea. Just swim. You only move left and right with the arrow keys. And it's like a runner. You just move around the level. And the background is different on the side. Something is growing on the side. Each level has its own unique theme. That's how each level is different.
Levels also
have different colored water. Some are lighter, some are darker. This is
randomly generated when you start a level. It's not that hard. And it's cool. I
practiced my programming. That's how it should be. Learn to do something. Try
adding something. And make it interesting! The frog is also interested in all
sorts of fun things. About water, for example. He can dive. But in this game,
he only swims forward.
So, 9
vibrant levels. Tons of sprites. There are 2 types of water lilies for each
level. Two types of pebbles. And the mosquitoes and flies are the same on all
levels. So, each level has different water lilies and small stones.
On the title screen, a frog says hello! And probably croaks a lot in his frog language. A flashing sign says "press start." And it looks like an arcade game. I thought it would be cool to make a splash screen like this. Or rather, a title screen. Reminiscent of arcade games.
The frog
has several frames of animation. It seems to be swimming. And we see part of
its legs. The water is so clear. The idea for the game started with this image
in my head. Yes, there should also be water lilies. And stones. That's how the
game began.
The tongue
is long, big, and orange. This is also about the amazing features of frogs.
Frog. River. Insects. Plants. The amazing world of the river. Country theme.
Summer. Pleasant memories of summer.
And simple arcade gameplay. In bright colors. A nice palette. And the tongue. Almost as long as Rolling Stones. That's a joke, of course. The game isn't difficult. I try not to make difficult games. Because I'm not a fan of difficult games myself. You just play and relax. Although, yes, sometimes you get carried away and there are moments that are difficult. But that's not the case with this game. Here, the levels simply have a duration.
The frog is
calling you for a swim! And then—for tea! Jump on the water lily, following the
frog. Your new friend.
